OPTIONS: Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Preparation and Support Program
Options is Kaiser Permanente’s metabolic and bariatric surgery preparation and support program.
If you are a KP Member living in San Diego and want to learn more about the Options Program:
The first step is to attend a mandatory orientation information session held weekly on Tuesdays at 6pm (in English) and the 2nd Thursday of the month at 4 pm (in Spanish).
If you live outside San Diego, you must contact your local health care team (primary care or specialist) to assist you with the appropriate referral to your local Options program.
If you have had a previous bariatric surgery or are under 18 years old please do NOT go to this orientation. Please call our Bariatric Services Department

- We will respond to your message within 24-48 hours, during our operating hours of 8 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday. If this is a medical or psychiatric emergency please go to the nearest urgent care center or emergency department.
