you have access to numerous virtual workshops!

All workshops are currently offered online as 80-minute sessions (a few options will be multiple sessions).

In-person workshops will resume when it is safe to do so. Until then, virtual workshops are easy to access. Simply call the Center for Healthy Living, schedule your workshop, then click-in at your class day and time with the link we will email you on KP.org.

When the platform opens on your device you see the group facilitator and the blackboard – but no one will be able to see you. You can ask questions and share comments with the facilitator and your classmates.

To participate you need ….

  • A device that you can connect with — laptop, computer, smartphone, tablet, etc.
  • Registration on KP.org
  • One of these internet browsers:  Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Safari.

Wellness Coaching by Phone

Wellness Coaching By Phone

Kaiser Permanente members may receive motivational coaching over the phone by a licensed health educator for a specific health goal. They have five topics to choose from: Eating Healthy, Being More Active, Losing Weight, Quitting Tobacco, or Being Less Stressed. The coaches assess the member’s readiness and individual goals and then provide motivation and accountability through the mail (regular or e-mail) and every other weekly calls from their coach. There is no time limit on how long it takes for the member to achieve their goal and members may choose to work on as many of the topics, one-at-a-time, as they like. Freedom from Tobacco

One of the best things you can do for your health is to quit tobacco. Freedom from Tobacco starts with an an overview of medications and resources that are available to help you quit. Then the following sessions (80-minute sessions) will help you to set a quit date, quit tobacco, and support you to stay quit. You will learn successful, easy techniques for dealing with cravings and temptations in a supportive group environment. The program will help you gain a better understanding of the routines and habits that stimulate your urge to smoke and you will explore continued support options for staying free from nicotine addiction.

Stress and Emotional Health

Self-awareness is a powerful way to maintain mind-body health. You will discover how your body, mind, and health are connected and begin to identify the causes of stress in your life. You’ll learn basic coping skills that will help you manage the stress in your life and minimize its effect on your health.
